Marcel Cat Art Print

Marcel is a charming A5 art print featuring a ginger tabby cat sitting at the table with his knitting, surrounded by the little things that make a cosy afternoon: a cup of coffee, a moka pot, balls of green yarn and a tiny pincushion. There’s something wonderfully homely about the scene — like catching someone in the middle of their favourite quiet ritual.

Created by UK artist Sally Welchman (Moggshop), the illustration has a warm folk-art feel, with hand-painted textures and plenty of small details that make Marcel’s little world feel lived in.

At A5 size (148 × 210 mm), this print is a lovely size for a bedroom, reading corner, craft room, kitchen shelf or gallery wall. It works beautifully framed, but is just as charming propped against books or layered amongst ceramics and other collected pieces. The artwork is titled “Marcel” in Sally’s own handwritten lettering, with her signature at the bottom of the print.
